ولو كنت فظا غليظ القلب لانفضوا مِنْ حولك سبب النزول. فبما رحمة من الله لنت لهم ۖ ولو كنت فظا غليظ القلب لانفضوا من حولك ۖ فاعف عنهم واستغفر لهم وشاورهم في الأمر ۖ فإذا عزمت فتوكل على الله ۚ إن الله يحب المتوكلين

Allah loveth those who put their trust in Him And when thou art resolved, then put thy trust in Allah
Had you been rough, hard-hearted, they would surely have scattered away from you Sesungguhnya Allah menyukai orang-orang yang bertawakal kepada-Nya

Indonesia - Bahasa Indonesia : Maka disebabkan rahmat dari Allahlah kamu berlaku lemah lembut terhadap mereka Sekiranya kamu bersikap keras lagi berhati kasar tentulah mereka menjauhkan diri dari sekelilingmu Karena itu maafkanlah mereka mohonkanlah ampun bagi mereka dan bermusyawaratlah dengan mereka dalam urusan itu Kemudian apabila kamu telah membulatkan tekad maka bertawakkallah kepada Allah Sesungguhnya Allah menyukai orangorang yang bertawakkal kepadaNya• Thus it is due to mercy from Allah that you deal with them gently, and had you been rough, hard hearted, they would certainly have dispersed from around you; pardon them therefore and ask pardon for them, and take counsel with them in the affair; so when you have decided, then place your trust in Allah; surely Allah loves those who trust.

So excuse them and plead for forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affairs, and once you are resolved, put your trust in Allah
سبب نزول آية لو كنت فظا غليظ القلب ومعناها
It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wast lenient with them O Muhammad , for if thou hadst been stern and fierce of heart they would have dispersed from round about thee
آیه 159 سوره آل عمران

English - Sahih International : So by mercy from Allah [O Muhammad] you were lenient with them And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart they would have disbanded from about you So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter And when you have decided then rely upon Allah Indeed Allah loves those who rely [upon Him]• 中国语文 - Ma Jian : 只因为从真主发出的慈恩，你温和地对待他们；假若你是粗暴的，是残酷的，那末，他们必定离你而分散；故你当恕饶他们，当为他们向主求饶，当与他们商议公事；你既决计行事，就当信托真主。 So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs Then, when thou hast Taken a decision put thy trust in Allah
Melayu - Basmeih : Maka dengan sebab rahmat yang melimpahlimpah dari Allah kepadamu wahai Muhammad engkau telah bersikap lemahlembut kepada mereka sahabatsahabat dan pengikutmu dan kalaulah engkau bersikap kasar lagi keras hati tentulah mereka lari dari kelilingmu Oleh itu maafkanlah mereka mengenai kesalahan yang mereka lakukan terhadapmu dan pohonkanlah ampun bagi mereka dan juga bermesyuaratlah dengan mereka dalam urusan peperangan dan halhal keduniaan itu kemudian apabila engkau telah berazam sesudah bermesyuarat untuk membuat sesuatu maka bertawakalah kepada Allah sesungguhnya Allah Mengasihi orangorang yang bertawakal kepadaNya• So pardon them, and pray for their forgiveness, and take counsel from them in matters of importance Indeed Allah loves those who trust in Him

آیه 159 سوره آل عمران
Kemudian apabila kamu telah berketetapan hati untuk melaksanakan apa yang kamu kehendaki setelah bermusyawarah itu maka bertawakallah kepada Allah artinya percayalah kepada-Nya
[24] من قول الله تعالى: {فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ} الآية 159 إلى قوله تعالى: {وَإِن كَانُواْ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلالٍ مُّبِينٍ} الآية 164.
It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over Their faults , and ask for Allah's forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs of moment

Swahili - Al-Barwani : Basi ni kwa sababu ya rehema itokayo kwa Mwenyezi Mungu ndio umekuwa laini kwao Na lau ungeli kuwa mkali mwenye moyo mgumu bila ya shaka wangeli kukimbia Basi wasamehe na waombee maghfira na shauriana nao katika mambo Na ukisha kata shauri basi mtegemee Mwenyezi Mungu Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu huwapenda wanao mtegemea• And when you are resolved on a course of action place your trust in Allah; surely Allah loves those who put their trust in Him
